With a highly successful and critically acclaimed debut rock record release under his belt, one may wonder if Lee Hester would live up to the expectation of a better sophomore effort.

After all, five of the eleven tracks on his 2002 "I'm Ready" disc were placed on TV's Dawson's Creek(2002 Season Six), Dawsons Creek(2005 Home Video Season Five) and Party of Five(2004 Home Video Season One) and two were showcased on CMJ's industry leading Certain Damage Compilation CD(2002).

Many believe that Lee has overachieved that expectation through the release of his new project "exit the ordinary"

The title speaks volumes about this record before the disc even starts spinning. Immediately, you are welcomed with back to back radio heavy tracks Monumental and Thirty one.

The meat of the disc contains songs that exemplify a spacious grace of clever guitar work and 'can't get out of your head' melodies that really show off the growth and maturity of Lee's writing.

Beginning to end, this record is full of exciting moments and convincing dynamics that keep you wondering what will happen next. Every song is uniquely defined with character and purpose showing that nothing was left undone.

After listening to 'exit the ordinary', one can only wonder how far this record will go and wish that it had contained twelve songs instead of ten.
